Christmas with Our Family

Troy and I had a wonderful Christmas. We got to Nashville on Wednesday night and stayed at Michele & Lewis' house so on Christmas morning we got to watch them open their presents from each other. Michele and I baked some Christmas cookies and made some soup for our dinner on Christmas night. Christmas night we went over to Ron & Stacey's and waited for Kelvey to get up from her 3 hour nap. I get a joy out of watching everyone open their presents. Kelvey really got into this year and she didn't know what to play with first. Troy and I got her a little overstuff chair and she opened that first and she would go to that to open her presents it was so cute. Hope everyone had a blessed Christmas like ours and hope you all have a Happy New Year

Trip to Iowa

We went back to our home town for a wedding and to visit. Stacey, Kelvey and Michele went with Troy and myself. This was the first time that alot of people got to see Kelvey, she didn't know for sure about all those people. She did really great on the airplane which was her first airplane ride, she did better than her mommy, but we all got there safely and return home safely. Kelvey had alot of first experiences.

Stacey and Kelvey came over to Knoxville a couple of weeks ago and spent Friday thru Tuesday with Troy and I and we had such a great time. We love it when we have quality time with both of them. Kelvey gets to do pretty much whatever she wants to do and of course we let her. Stacey and I did lots of sewing and I enjoyed all the time we got to spend together.

Kelvey's Birthday Party

We were blessed to be able to spend last weekend in Nashville celebrating Kelvey's 1st Birthday. It's hard to believe that a year has gone by already and that Kelvey is a year old. It has been so much fun seeing her grow up and see all the new things that she is has learned. Kelvey thanks for adding so much joy to your Grana's and Troy lives, we love you so much!

My Wonderful Long Weekend

I got to go visit in Nashville again but this time I got there on Thursday and did not have to go home until Sunday. I love weekends like that. I got to spend alot time with everyone. Stacey, Michele and myself got to enjoy a late Friday night movie (Mama Mia) if you get a chance to see it, go it is a really good chick movie. Ron was gracious enough to stay home with Kelvey. Friday Grana got to spoil Kelvey once again. I made her a Tepee, if I have to say so myself it turned out great and Kelvey loved to play in. Saturday night I went to Murfreesboro and got to go to a party in the old neighborhood, so I got to see lots of old neighbors which was great to see everyone again. Michele joined me and I spent the night with her and she never knows when to go to bed I think it was 2:30 when we finally quit talking. I had me some Michele time too which was great. Sunday came to soon then it was time for me to go home. Troy also got some time with the girls and Kelvey, while I was heading home Troy was heading to Nashville, he had to be there Monday anyway so he thought he would come in early to get some of his own alone time without me there. All in all we both had a great weekend.

Visit the week of the 4th of July

Last week was a wonderful week. Ron, Stacey & Kelvey came to visit on Saturday night and was with us until Wednesday. They left to go camping at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains. Troy and I joined them on Thrusday and camped with them in their new camper. We had alot of fun. Then we all came back to our house and enjoyed a cooked out in the back yard with them and some of our dear friends in the neighborhood. We ate and then went to the fireworks here at the club house. It was Kelvey's first fireworks and she did great she didn't even get scared which we hoped she wouldn't. Then on Saturday they left and went home and I didn't like the house being empty. It's so much fun to hear that little chatter around the house. Thanks Ron & Stacey for letting us enjoy you all and that precious granddaughter that we are so blessed to have in our lives. I am new at this blogging so excuse the layout of these pictures I might have to get some help from Stacey.
